We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Warehousing & Distribution team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing all invoices received for payment and undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and automate vendor payment process with accuracy
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards by gathering receipts and invoices and balancing information
- Partner with warehouse incoming team to make PO adjustments where necessary to receive
- Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records, etc. as assigned
- Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
- Support business with placing orders with regular vendors
- Maintain financial records for company by analyzing balance sheets and general ledgers
- Correct errors by rectifying or posting adjusting journal entries
- Maintain general bookkeeping by reconciling accounts receivables
- Secure financial information by maintaining confidentiality and organized filing in SharePoint
- Maintain company's accounting standards by following policies and procedures
- Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
- Assist senior accounting staff in preparation of monthly/yearly closings
- Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field of study
- 2 years of Accounts Payable experience
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel)
- Knowledge of best financial reporting principles and practices (GAAP)
- Microsoft Outlook/SharePoint
- Full-Cycle Accounting experience
- High computer proficiency
$50,000 - $57,000 (with opportunity for bonus)
