Life Insurance Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Life Insurance Coordinator to join our Wealth Management team at Cowan Insurance Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting our advisors in the development and management of their book of business.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist advisors in meeting all service model actions for clients from pre-sale to post-issue changes.
- Support advisors with placing new business, preparing underwriting requirements, and managing the underwriting process to completion.
- Prepare new insurance contracts for client delivery and input data into our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform.
- Handle post-issue policy change requests from clients, including beneficiary changes, face amount changes, disbursements, death claims, and requesting illustrations.
- Provide high-level support to advisors, including responding to inquiries and concerns, and resolving client issues.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with advisors and internal teams while ensuring confidentiality.
- Support and backup for other Life Insurance Coordinators as needed.
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in the insurance industry.
- Strong knowledge of life insurance and living benefits products.
- Experience with insurance carrier products and illustration software.
- Knowledge of insurance carrier application procedures.
- University degree or college diploma (an asset).
- Individual agent license (LLQP) (an asset).
- Solid problem-solving skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong prioritization skills and flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Client confidentiality is of utmost importance.
- Able to work independently and self-motivated.
