Procurement Operations Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Operations Manager to lead and facilitate the procurement of goods and services and the implementation of contracts. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement and governance processes and be able to effectively procure, manage, and administer various types of agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage procurement initiatives in collaboration with stakeholders, including the identification and mitigation of risks.
- Lead the development of contracting and procurement strategies.
- Foster strong relationships and open communications with suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure procurement initiatives are timely, effective, and aligned with NSPI's policies and procedures.
- Work in collaboration with Project and Legal teams to monitor and manage contracts while ensuring compliance.
- Coordinate the negotiation of terms and conditions of contracts.
- Ensure contractors and suppliers are adhering to terms and conditions of their agreements and Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) to drive value and productivity.
- Work with contractors to identify opportunities for innovation, efficiency, and cost savings.
- Ensure that procurement practices and procedures are being followed throughout the procurement life cycle.
- Provide guidance to various internal departments regarding commercial and contractual matters.
Requirements:
- You must have a University Degree or College Diploma in business or related field and experience in Contracting, Strategic Sourcing, Project Management, and an overall understanding of Strategic Procurement and Supply Chain Management. Certified SCMP Designation or PMP Certification would be considered an asset.
- You will be required to facilitate group meetings and provide an in-depth knowledge of sourcing and procurement principles and standard methodologies. Inter-personal and communication skills (verbal and written) are imperative as you will need to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
- You must have advanced MS Office skills and experience with developing/conducting presentations. You must be able to demonstrate the ability to organize, control, and coordinate various activities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- You will be required to hold a valid driver's license and travel for this position.
