Halifax Regional Municipality is a dynamic organization seeking a highly skilled Procurement Strategist to join its Finance and Asset Management team.
As a key member of the procurement department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all procurement transactions are conducted ethically and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree or college diploma in Business, Law, Public Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, along with a minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
A competitive salary of $65,000 - $85,000 per year reflects the importance of this role and the value we place on our employees' skills and expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the procurement cycle for the acquisition of Goods, Services, and Construction
- Interpret and apply relevant procurement policies, guidelines, and procedures
- Conduct sourcing and spend analysis and recommend purchasing strategies
- Recommend award of contract and prepare contract documents
