Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at the Health Sciences Centre. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide therapeutic, diagnostic, and technical respiratory therapy services to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory therapy services to patients, including therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine patient needs and develop treatment plans.
  • Operate and maintain respiratory equipment, including ventilators and oxygen therapy devices.
  • Provide education and training to patients and families on respiratory health and disease management.
Requirements
  • Current registration with the Manitoba Association of Respiratory Therapists (MARRT) is required.
  • Recent and related clinical experience is preferred.
  • Entry-to-practice academic credential in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited Canadian program or a MARRT-approved equivalent is required.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good interpersonal relationships and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other disciplines and demonstrate professional judgment and initiative.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and may be exposed to infectious diseases, blood and body fluids, radiation, toxic materials, noise, allergens, physical and emotional stress, etc.
