About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director of Asset Planning and Systems Engineering to join our team at PSG leadership Inc. This is a pivotal opportunity to shape the future of our client's vision and contribute to the delivery of stellar service excellence to their residential clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic oversight to our client's distribution assets across their service territory
  • Lead the creation of business cases to support business decision making and funding requests in regulatory rate filings
  • Assess impact of new connection requests on system reliability and capacity and lead the development of solutions to connect new customers to the grid
  • Lead the development of a strategy to integrate Distributed Energy Resources into Grid and consider non-wires solutions to address system needs
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of Managers, Supervisors, Engineers, Engineering Technologists and Students
Requirements
  • University degree & Registered member of Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) in good standing
  • In depth working knowledge of Asset Management, Load Forecasting and Capacity Planning in the energy sector
  • 10 years of progressive leadership experience within the utilities industry
  • Solid understanding of Asset Management standards such as ISO 55000
  • Experience developing business cases for rate filing applications and knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements (e.g. Distribution System Code)
