Retail Loss Prevention Investigator

**Job Duties**:

- Ensure proper procedures and protocols are followed
- Represent Legendary Security Inc. in a professional manner, including all court-related procedures
- Protect Customers, property and assets of store.
- Report and action any and all suspicious and/or criminal activities that take place on-site during shifts as per company training and policies.
- Complete shift logs and incident reports accurately. Communicate findings with those who need to be made aware.
- Identify and apprehend shoplifters - process arrested persons and provide a duty of care to all persons taken into custody.
- Identify and deter potential shoplifters as required.
- Preserve all related evidence including the preservation of video evidence.
- Liaise with local police as required.
- Utilize security equipment/systems, camera recording systems, computers and radios as required.
- Capable of changing from plain clothes to uniformed or vice versa at short notice if needed.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding any information or action required in the course of duties in accordance with corporate and legal requirements.
- Provide and assist with all staff safety/Loss Prevention training, hiring and training new investigators and security guards.
- Assist with scheduling when sick calls come through to schedule in guards to cover the shifts.
- May perform the same duties as workers supervised.

**Requirements**:

- 2+ years of experience in working in loss prevention is required.
- Valid Ontario Security License required.
- Must be able to speak and write in the English language.
- Must be able to commute (having a vehicle is an asset).

**Salary**: $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
