We're seeking an exceptional Technical Recruiter to join our high-performing team, helping us scale our rapidly expanding business by identifying and securing top technical talent. As a key member of our recruitment team, you'll work closely with hiring managers across engineering, product, data, and other key teams to understand their needs and deliver exceptional candidates who thrive in a fast-paced, high-impact startup environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Full-cycle recruitment for technical roles, including software engineers, data engineers, product managers, and product designers;
- Innovative talent acquisition strategies to attract top-tier technical candidates in a competitive market;
- Closely partnering with hiring managers to understand their teams' needs, building job specifications, and crafting role descriptions;
- Proactive sourcing of passive candidates through various channels, including LinkedIn, events, referrals, and direct outreach;
- Evaluating technical skills through interviews, assessments, and coding tests to ensure candidates meet both technical and cultural fit requirements;
- Managing candidate pipelines, tracking metrics, and communicating regularly with internal stakeholders to provide transparency and updates;
- Coordinating interviews and scheduling, working with both candidates and interview panels to ensure an efficient and positive experience;
- Fostering strong relationships with candidates throughout the hiring process, ensuring Hiive stands out as an employer of choice;
- Promoting Hiive's mission, values, and culture to potential candidates, highlighting the exciting growth opportunities at a leading fintech marketplace.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- 3+ years of experience as a technical recruiter, ideally in fast-growing tech startups or marketplace businesses;
- A proven track record of successfully recruiting for technical roles in product, engineering, and data;
- Strong knowledge of sourcing techniques, including Boolean search, social media, and networking in technical communities;
- Ability to assess technical skills, including familiarity with basic technical concepts in software engineering and data;
- Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools, ideally Ashby;
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with both candidates and internal teams;
- High level of organization, with the ability to manage multiple open roles simultaneously;
- Results-driven mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality hires in a timely manner.
Preferred Skills
A plus if you have experience recruiting for roles in fintech or marketplace startups, working for a high growth start up, or managing recruitment metrics and reporting on progress and outcomes to leadership.
