Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Head Chef to join our team at Ontario Inc. o/a Kailash Parbat. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and service of food to our guests.

Responsibilities
  • Estimate the cost of ingredients and supplies for menu planning purposes
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, and inventory levels
  • Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to junior staff members
  • Supervise specialist chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers in the preparation and presentation of food
  • Instruct cooks in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for banquets and events
  • Supervise the activities of sous-chefs, specialist chefs, chefs, and cooks in the kitchen
  • Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities to ensure high-quality dishes are served to our guests
Requirements
  • 1-6 months of experience in a similar role
  • Possession of a valid work visa for Canada
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of $60,000 per year, based on experience, as well as benefits including health insurance, paid vacation time, and opportunities for professional development.
