We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to join our team at Ontario LTD.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations, ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation, while maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage kitchen staff, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.
- Develop and implement menu planning, taking into account seasonal availability of ingredients and customer preferences.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
- Implement effective inventory management, minimizing waste and optimizing stock levels.
- Maintain accurate records of food safety, hygiene, and health and safety procedures.
- Diploma or certificate in culinary arts or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 7 months to less than 1 year of experience as a chef or kitchen manager.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure, meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards.
This is a full-time position, requiring on-site work. The successful candidate must be able to commit to working hours as required by the business.
Compensation:The estimated salary for this role is $45,000 - $60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
