Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Head Chef and Kitchen Manager to lead our kitchen team at Karahi Boys. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of food preparation, cooking, and presentation, as well as managing staff and maintaining high standards of quality control.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory levels.
- Develop and implement new recipes, menu items, and specials to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
- Instruct and train kitchen staff in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation techniques.
- Supervise cooks, sous chefs, and other kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events, banquets, and special functions.
- Manage staff schedules, provide feedback, and develop performance improvement plans as needed.
- Source and purchase high-quality ingredients and supplies to meet menu requirements.
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role or position.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to lead and motivate staff.
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks and projects efficiently.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing situations, menus, and priorities as needed.
- Competitive salary range: $40,000 - $60,000 per year (dependent on experience).
