Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at BEST WESTERN PLUS. As a key member of our food and beverage team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality and service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, promoting a culture of excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Food Quality and Safety
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards.
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a clean and safe environment for our guests.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing accurate and timely reports to management.
    • Prepare and submit reports, highlighting areas for improvement and suggesting solutions.
  • Customer Service
    • Supervise and check delivery of food trolleys, ensuring that all guests receive exceptional service.
    • Establish work schedules, ensuring that all staff are aware of their responsibilities and deadlines.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Environment
    • Fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
    • Standing for extended periods and physically demanding work.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Efficient interpersonal skills and excellent oral communication.
    • Initiative and a strong work ethic.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent position, working 30 hours per week. The language of work is English.
