Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director to lead our Microsoft Alliance team at Insight Technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the Microsoft relationship and business, working closely with sales, vendor management, finance, and leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Leadership and Management

The Director will provide leadership and management to each group, ensuring effective collaboration and communication across teams.

Strategic Direction

The Director will provide strategic direction to the management team, supporting and creating business strategies to increase market share.

Relationship Building

The Director will build and maintain executive management level relationships within Insight, its customers, and Microsoft.

Sales Management

The Director will manage the sales activities of the Microsoft team, responsible for forecasting, operational efficiencies, reviews, and company growth.

Financial Analysis

The Director will inspect and analyze the ongoing financial state of the Microsoft business, ensuring revenue generation and gross profit objectives are met or exceeded.

Service Level Practices

The Director will work to drive service level practices, collaborating with services practice leadership to develop new offerings, methodologies, and best practices.

Geographic Coordination

The Director will coordinate activities across geos (NA, EMEA, APAC) as needed.

Sales Leadership

The Director will participate in sales leadership within each geography, evangelizing Microsoft technology.

Team Management

The Director will recruit, retain, and support the Microsoft solutions team, working closely with the team manager.

Client Communication

The Director will participate in client calls in support of the Microsoft/Insight partnership.

Representative Role

The Director will represent Canada's requirements in the CCx and marketplace initiatives.

Communication and Representation

The Director will maintain open lines of communication with other departments, ensuring confidence and enhancing relationships within Insight.

Professional Representation

The Director will represent Insight in a professional and business-like manner, communicating effectively with Insight associates and their customers.

Requirements
  1. Extensive Management Experience

The successful candidate will have extensive management experience within the professional and/or technical services discipline (minimum of 10 years).

Strong Leadership Skills

The candidate will possess strong leadership skills in teamwork and communication across multiple organizations.

IT Product Knowledge

The candidate will have strong knowledge of IT products and services.

Proven Track Record

The candidate will have a proven track record of consistently exceeding corporate objectives and quotas.

Advanced MS Office Skills

The candidate will have advanced knowledge of MS Office products.

Strategic Planning

The candidate will have experience in strategic planning and execution, as well as knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management.

Sales Quota Goals

The candidate will have knowledge of structuring sales quota goals and gross profit/revenue expectations.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills

The candidate will possess professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills (French language skills recommended).

Team Motivation

The candidate will be able to motivate teams to produce results within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.

Group Meeting Participation

The candidate will be able to participate in and facilitate group meetings.

Project Management Experience

Experience in Project Management is desired.
