We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director to lead our Microsoft Alliance team at Insight Technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the Microsoft relationship and business, working closely with sales, vendor management, finance, and leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Provide strategic direction to the management team, supporting and creating business strategies to increase market share.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain executive-level relationships within Insight, its customers, and Microsoft.
- Sales Management: Manage the sales activities of the Microsoft team, responsible for forecasting, operational efficiencies, reviews, and company growth.
- Financial Analysis: Inspect and analyze the ongoing financial state of the Microsoft business to ensure revenue generation and gross profit objectives are met or exceeded.
- Service Level Practices: Proactively work to drive service level practices, including developing new offerings, methodologies, and best practices.
- Geographic Coordination: Coordinate activities across geographies (NA, EMEA, APAC) as needed.
- Sales Leadership: Participate in sales leadership within each geography, evangelizing Microsoft technology.
- Team Management: Recruit, retain, and support the Microsoft solutions team, working with the team manager.
- Client Support: Participate in client calls in support of the Microsoft/Insight partnership.
- Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with other departments to ensure confidence and enhance relationships within Insight.
- Representation: Represent Insight in a professional and business-like manner, communicating effectively with Insight associates and customers.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of management experience within the professional and/or technical services discipline.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership skills in teamwork and communication across multiple organizations.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of IT products and services.
- Results-Oriented: Proven track record of consistently exceeding corporate objectives and quotas.
- Communication Skills: Advanced knowledge of MS Office products and professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Project Management: Experience in strategic planning and execution, contracting, negotiating, and change management.
- Team Motivation: Ability to motivate teams to produce results within tight timeframes and manage several projects simultaneously.
