Position Overview

The Director of Microsoft Partnerships is responsible for managing the strategic relationship and business operations with Microsoft at Insight Technology. This role involves collaborating with sales, vendor management, finance, and leadership teams to provide guidance and direction in developing business strategies aimed at enhancing market presence.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Establish and nurture executive-level relationships within Insight Technology, its clientele, and Microsoft.
  2. Oversee the sales operations of the Microsoft team, ensuring effective management of forecasting, operational efficiencies, and overall performance, while fostering company growth through mentorship and training.
  3. Evaluate and monitor the financial performance of the Microsoft business unit to ensure revenue and profit targets are achieved or surpassed.
  4. Proactively enhance service delivery practices by collaborating with service leadership to innovate new offerings and expand best practices.
  5. Facilitate coordination of activities across various regions (NA, EMEA, APAC) as necessary.
  6. Engage actively in sales leadership across different regions, promoting Microsoft technologies.
  7. Recruit, develop, and support the Microsoft solutions team in collaboration with the team manager.
  8. Participate in client engagements to strengthen the Microsoft and Insight partnership.
  9. Advocate for Canadian requirements in marketplace initiatives.
  10. Maintain effective communication with other departments to foster confidence and enhance interdepartmental relationships.
  11. Represent Insight Technology in a professional manner, ensuring effective communication with associates and clients.
  12. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  1. Significant management experience in professional or technical services (minimum of 10 years).
  2. Exceptional leadership capabilities with strong communication skills across diverse organizations.
  3. Comprehensive knowledge of IT products and services.
  4. Demonstrated success in consistently meeting or exceeding corporate goals and targets.
  5. Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications.
  6. Experience in strategic planning and execution, with knowledge of contracting, negotiation, and change management.
  7. Understanding of sales quota structuring and revenue expectations.
  8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with interpersonal skills (French language proficiency is a plus).
  9. Ability to inspire teams to achieve results within tight deadlines while managing multiple projects.
  10. Experience in facilitating group meetings.
  11. Project Management experience is preferred.
