About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team at Mr. Schnapp's Pub and Grill. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and ensuring that our menu items are prepared to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution

Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the tastes and preferences of our customers.

Chef Management

Lead and motivate a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet the demands of the kitchen.

Food Quality and Safety

Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards of quality and safety, adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations.

Inventory Management

Manage kitchen inventory and supplies to ensure that we have the necessary ingredients and equipment to meet the demands of the kitchen.

Cost Control

Monitor and control kitchen costs to ensure that we are operating within budget and achieving our financial targets.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience

A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a high-volume kitchen environment.

Culinary Skills

Proven culinary skills and knowledge of menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.

Leadership and Management

Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of cooks and kitchen staff.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and customers.
