Role Overview

As a seasoned tax professional, you will play a key role in driving tax planning initiatives and requirements for our clients. Your exceptional organizational skills will enable you to lead junior staff, reviewing their work for accuracy and completeness. You will also research and prepare tax-planning strategies for our clients, taking the lead on tax return preparation. The ideal candidate is a natural leader, providing ongoing support and opportunities for professional development to junior staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead client engagements and work closely with Partners on tax planning work for clients
  • Plan and organize teams for tax return preparation and conduct and present tax research
  • Review the work of junior staff for accuracy and completeness
  • Contribute to the tax engagement team in servicing the planning and compliance needs of clients
  • Provide ongoing support and mentoring for the professional development of staff
  • Collaborate with other office members in attracting new work to the firm

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience specializing in tax in a public accounting firm
  • Professional accounting designation
  • Enrolled or willing to enroll in the CPA In-Depth tax course
  • Excellent client service skills with the ability to understand clients' businesses
  • Emphasizes quality and adds value in client offerings and services
  • Encourages others to take on new tasks and responsibilities and instills enthusiasm in others to achieve desired results
