Dementia Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dementia Support Specialist to join our team in Prince George, BC.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals affected by dementia and their families. As a Dementia Support Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering our First Link programs and services within an assigned region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement support, education, and information programs to meet the needs of service delivery.
- Coordinate the delivery of standardized workshops for caregivers, people living with dementia, and the public.
- Maintain client records and statistical reports according to Society and legislative policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals, allied health professionals, and other stakeholders.
- Provide one-to-one telephone support to people with dementia and caregivers.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A post-secondary education or relevant degree in health or social agency related function, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Related support and education experience in a human services environment.
- Extensive knowledge of and experience with Alzheimer's disease/dementia and caregiving issues.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, able to work independently, and strong attention to detail.
Salary: $55,500 - $62,500 per year, depending on experience. A generous compensation package includes flexible work arrangements, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
