We are seeking a Medical Lab Technologist to join our Genetics team in Toronto, ON (175 Galaxy Blvd). As a member of our team, you will contribute to patient well-being and the achievement of better health outcomes by providing accurate and timely interpretive and diagnostic specimen testing and reporting.

You will have 24-hour medical support through our Medical Science team and Medical Library, and the ability to teach our college and university student placements. You will also be part of a collaborative environment where you can share knowledge and expertise with your colleagues.

This is a permanent full-time position with a day shift schedule (7:00 am - 3:00 pm) Monday through Friday. The discipline for this role is Genetics, and there is only one position available. The start date is ASAP.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have an Advanced diploma in Clinical Genetics Technology from the Michener Institute or the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT). You must also be CMLTO registered in Clinical Genetics - Dual Molecular & Cytogenetics.

You should have excellent communication skills, strong analytical skills, and attention to detail. You should be able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment while adhering to LifeLabs standards of safety, accuracy, and efficiency.

You will also be required to have strong computer skills in MS Office products, as well as laboratory analyzers. Problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify and follow-up on issues, are essential for this role.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $42,000 - $52,000 per year, based on the location and industry standards. This estimate may vary depending on individual circumstances and experience.
