">Job Description
">We are seeking an experienced Sales Development Executive to join our team in Vancouver. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving business development activities and closing deals in your vertical market. Your primary focus will be on developing strong relationships with industry influencers and strategic customer clients (end users) to promote our organization's objectives.
">You will work closely with our Business Development Team, Sales, Marketing, and Product Management to collaborate on market conditions, pricing issues, competitive trends, and industry relevance. You will also attend trade shows and industry conferences to stay up-to-date on the latest developments in our industry.
">Required Skills and Qualifications
">To succeed in this role, you will need:

Strong independent leadership qualities and the ability to drive sales activity and close rate
">">Highly energetic and results-oriented, dedicated team player and communicator with an ability to work under pressure in a structured environment
">">Conversant with products/systems and solutions of Convergint relevant to the vertical markets and their value propositions
">">Strong verbal/written communication and outstanding presentation skills required
">">Ability to work independently and manage sales territory
">">Strong analytical skills necessary to resolve problems and look for solutions
">">Ability to facilitate a collaborative working environment for customers and team members
">">Driven, self-motivated, and results-oriented
">">Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Bluebeam Revu, and PowerPoint

A minimum of 5-7 years of proven sales experience, including two years successfully managing business development activities in your vertical (e.g., Utilities, SLED, Data Centers, Healthcare)
">">Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
">">Bachelor's degree preferred in business, engineering, or related field or equivalent, relevant experience
">">Proven leadership and ability to drive sales activity and close rate

">As a Sales Development Executive, you will be responsible for:

Developing business plans and sales strategies to ensure attainment of company sales goals and profitability
">">Providing input beyond own territories and acting as a subject matter expert
">">Understanding industry market pressures and customer business objectives, in-conjunction with alignment of unique/differentiated Convergint value with their operational inefficiencies
">">Creating, monitoring, and revising lead generation plans to ensure a substantive sales opportunity pipeline
">">Finding new and creative ways of engaging with customers
">">Capturing the attention of potential customers and presenting new solutions and services that Convergint has to offer
">">Conducting research and analysis of market/project opportunities consistent with strategy, leveraging available market research analytical tools
">">Preparing action plans for effective search of sales leads and prospects
">">Developing strategies & underpinning tactics for a successful outcome
">">Ensuring that customers are informed of new product/service introductions and prices
">">Working closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product Management to collaborate on market conditions, pricing issues, competitive trends, and industry relevance
">">Developing business opportunities, conducting needs assessments (customer site walks), and writing proposals for system installation and service opportunities
">">Diagnosing and responding to client needs, with written & verbal follow-up on all aspects of request
">">Attending trade shows and industry conferences for educational and customer-oriented purposes
">">Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes and ensuring that they are communicated and implemented within the team
