About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Mount Pleasant Vintage & Provisions. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the preparation and presentation of our menu items.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Training
    • Develop and implement new cooking techniques and recipes to enhance our menu offerings
    • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on preparation, cooking, and presentation techniques
  • Menu Development
    • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to create new menu items and specials
    • Source and procure high-quality ingredients and supplies
  • Operations and Management
    • Assist with kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
    • Supervise and coordinate the work of kitchen staff to ensure efficient service
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
