About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Jam Cafe Kitsilano. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in the preparation and presentation of our menu items.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning and preparation
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation
  • Ensure that all food safety and sanitation standards are met
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop new recipes and menu items
  • Manage kitchen inventory and supplies
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
