Employed Student Nurse

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Employed Student Nurse to join our team at qathet General Hospital in Powell River, BC.
This is an exciting opportunity for a nursing student to gain hands-on experience in a clinical setting while earning a salary. As an Employed Student Nurse, you will provide direct nursing care to patients, residents, and clients under the supervision of experienced nurses.
About the RoleAs an Employed Student Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of clinical settings, including community, emergency, long-term care, medicine, mental health inpatient, and surgical units.
You will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with healthcare teams, and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients, residents, and clients under the supervision of experienced nurses
- Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to achieve patient-centered care
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development opportunities
- Currently enrolled in a recognized nursing education program in BC
- Successfully completed 2nd Year of BScN program or equivalent
- Successfully completed at least one Adult Medical or Surgical rotation in BScN program
- Registered (or eligible for registration) with BCCNM as an Employed Student Registrant
- Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (Healthcare Provider CPR)
