Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse to join our team at qathet General Hospital in Powell River, BC.
Job SummaryThis is an exciting opportunity for a Nurse to work in a clinical setting, providing direct care to patients and supporting the transition from student to new graduate nurse.
About the ProgramOur Employed Student Nurse (ESN) program provides a nursing employment opportunity with up to 400 hours of hands-on experience and pay. As an ESN, you will work under the guidance of experienced educators and unit staff to develop your skills and knowledge.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to achieve patient-centered care.
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
- Successful completion of 2nd Year of your BScN program or equivalent.
- Successful completion of at least one Adult Medical or Surgical rotation in your BScN program.
- Continually enrolled in a recognized nursing education program in BC, in good standing.
- Registered (or eligible for registration) with BCCNM as an Employed Student Registrant.
- Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (Healthcare Provider CPR).
