We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care in the Labour & Delivery unit.
This role involves delivering advanced perinatal nursing services to expectant mothers, conducting thorough assessments, and providing care to other assigned medical/surgical patients. You will work both independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive perinatal nursing care through detailed assessments of clients and their fetuses. Enhance the quality of life for clients and their families. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Commit to continuous improvement and the implementation of best practices in nursing. Maintain and enhance your clinical skills and knowledge. Participate in hospital committees and approved research initiatives as assigned.Additional Information
Relocation assistance may be available. Eligible nurses may qualify for student loan forgiveness programs.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). Completion of an advanced nursing specialty program in perinatal nursing or two years of relevant experience.Knowledge & Skills
In-depth understanding of nursing theory and practice within a client-centered care model. Familiarity with BCCNM's standards for nursing practice. Proven ability to plan and implement effective care strategies. Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing situations. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams. Ability to mentor and lead new staff and students. Proficiency in clinical techniques and the use of relevant medical equipment. Competence in CPR and NRP techniques. Strong computer skills, including the use of electronic health records. Physical capability to perform the duties required of the position.Closing Remarks
