About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team at The Newmarket Keg Steakhouse & Bar. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring that our guests receive an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Supervise and train a team of cooks and kitchen staff to maintain high standards of quality and service.
  • Culinary Excellence: Develop and implement new recipes, menus, and cooking techniques to enhance our culinary offerings.
  • Inventory and Cost Control: Manage food costs, inventory, and supplies to ensure efficient operations and minimize waste.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that all dishes meet our high standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with our front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and exceptional guest experiences.
Requirements
  • Education: College or equivalent culinary education.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in a senior kitchen role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant environment.
  • Certifications: Food safety certifications and any other relevant culinary certifications.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
