Job Summary
Lone Star Texas Grill is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Culinary Director to lead our kitchen team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our culinary operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement menu plans that align with our brand's culinary vision and standards.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure that all ingredients and supplies are ordered and received in a timely manner.
- Supervise and train a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure that they are meeting our high standards for food quality and presentation.
- Monitor kitchen operations to ensure that they are running efficiently and effectively, and make adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate with our management team to develop and implement strategies for improving customer satisfaction and increasing sales.
- Ensure that all kitchen staff are following proper food safety and handling procedures.
- Develop and implement training programs to ensure that all kitchen staff are knowledgeable about our menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure that we are maintaining accurate inventory levels and minimizing waste.
- Work closely with our purchasing team to negotiate prices and ensure that we are getting the best value for our money.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a culinary director or executive chef in a high-volume restaurant environment.
- Strong knowledge of menu planning, inventory management, and kitchen operations.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions quickly.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in culinary arts or related field preferred.
