Futurpreneur Canada is a national non-profit organization empowering young, diverse entrepreneurs to start and grow their businesses. As Business Development Manager for our Indigenous Entrepreneur Startup Program, you will be the primary point of contact for young Indigenous entrepreneurs.

About Futurpreneur Canada:

We provide loans with mentorship and resources to help entrepreneurs ages 18-39 launch and buy businesses that contribute to sustainable and inclusive economic prosperity. Our purpose is to drive Canadian prosperity by fostering the success of young entrepreneurs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Connect young Indigenous entrepreneurs to business planning support, startup financing, and mentorship
  • Recruit mentors and work collaboratively with community partners, including Indigenous Financial Institutions and NACCA network members

This permanent, full-time position can be located anywhere in Alberta or British Columbia. You will work on a hybrid model, spending at least one day in the office per week.

Requirements:
  • A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle (40% of this role includes local and provincial travel)
  • Relevant experience in sales, start-up business development, or economic development positions
  • Experience working with entrepreneurs, business plans, and cashflows is a strong asset
  • Demonstrated knowledge of barriers and opportunities faced by young Indigenous entrepreneurs and Indigenous-led organizations
