Indigenous Peer Support Program Professional

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Indigenous peer support program worker to join our team at Native Counselling Services of Alberta. This role requires a strong understanding of Indigenous cultures and experiences, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
About the RoleThis is a full-time position that involves working directly with clients to provide emotional support and guidance. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.
Responsibilities- Participate in government or community programs that support Indigenous people
- Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers
- Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience working with Indigenous populations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A strong understanding of Indigenous cultures and experiences
