Job Description

At Humber River Health, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse to join our Haemodialysis team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality care to patients undergoing haemodialysis, ensuring their comfort, safety, and optimal health outcomes.


About the Role:



  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients receiving haemodialysis, including assessing their needs, developing individualized care plans, and implementing evidence-based interventions.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, including physicians, dietitians, and social workers, to ensure seamless care coordination and patient-centered decision-making.
  • Deliver patient education and support to help patients and their families understand haemodialysis, manage their condition, and make informed decisions about their care.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives by participating in audits, root cause analyses, and other quality improvement projects to enhance patient care and safety.

Requirements:



  • Current RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Minimum two years of acute medical/surgical experience, with a strong preference for recent haemodialysis experience.
  • Nephrology certificate courses completed or a commitment to complete within an agreed period.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and work in a fast-paced environment.
