About the Role

The Application Analyst will be part of our Transport Systems team, reporting directly to the Manager. This key role requires a highly skilled individual to support Canada Cartage's applications and technology portfolio, ensuring seamless operations and delivering innovative solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Administering the transportation applications portfolio, addressing day-to-day issues efficiently.
  • Serving as a Subject Matter Expert for internal initiatives related to these applications.
  • Participating in projects involving our terminals, requiring flexibility to travel between facilities within Canada.
  • Collaborating with teams such as the Service Desk, Infrastructure Team, and EDI Team on technical support and troubleshooting.
  • Performing root cause analysis to resolve recurring issues and recommending improvements.
  • Working closely with Infrastructure, IT Security, DBAs, and vendors to ensure application updates and routine maintenance.
  • Driving process improvements by identifying opportunities for automation and simplification.
  • Providing on-site support and training at our transport terminals when required.

Requirements

This role demands a keen analytical mind, honed over 5+ years in roles like Support Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar capacities.

Key skills include experience working within Supply Chain environments, understanding operational lifecycles enhanced by systems, proficiency in Transportation Management Systems, and excellent communication skills.

A self-motivated individual with a strong interest in learning new technologies and driving change is ideal for this position.

Additional requirements include the ability to work independently, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, supporting multiple initiatives concurrently, and prioritizing tasks accordingly.

Technical competencies should include MS Office suite proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project) and a post-secondary degree in an analytical field (Engineering, Sciences, Business with IT concentration preferred).
