Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Benefits Consultant to join our team at People Corporation. As a key member of our benefits team, you will provide strategic consulting services to our clients, helping them navigate the complexities of group benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design and management of group medical, dental, life, disability, and special risk benefits for clients.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support client retention and mitigate risks.
  • Assess, negotiate, and report on group renewals, quote comparisons, and marketing initiatives.
  • Manage the transition of benefits to new carriers, ensuring smooth transitions and minimizing client risk.
  • Price and analyze costings, including alternative funding arrangements.
  • Act as a second chair for medium to large clients, providing guidance and support.
  • Manage client expectations, deal with concerns, and mentor team members as needed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in group benefits, with a focus on client-facing consulting services.
  • Deep expertise in group benefits, including funding arrangements and flex programs.
  • Superior analytical and mathematical skills, strategic planning, communication, and listening skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • A positive attitude, strong team player, and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and provide deliverables in a timely manner.
  • Proficiency in multi-channel technology and a valid driver's license.
  • Group Benefits Associate (GBA) or CEBS designation, or currently working towards it.
