Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Benefits Consultant to join our team in Ottawa/GTA, providing business solutions expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic business plans for medium and large clients to optimize group benefits programs.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments to recommend suitable plan designs and cost mitigation strategies.
- Analyze and negotiate group renewals to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
- Manage the transition of benefits to new carriers, ensuring minimal disruption to clients.
- Pricing and analyzing costings for alternative funding arrangements to meet client needs.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5+ years' experience in group benefits consulting, with a proven track record of delivering innovative solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of the group benefits industry, including funding arrangements and flex programs.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- The ability to adapt to changing situations, think critically, and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
