We are seeking a skilled Culinary Professional to join our team at Cora Breakfast and Lunch Kelowna. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
- Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Team Collaboration: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Kitchen Maintenance: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they are clean and well-maintained, and clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Security and Safety: Ensure that all kitchen staff and helpers are aware of and comply with our security and safety procedures, including criminal record checks.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Work Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen environment.
- Language: Fluency in English.
- Work Schedule: 32 to 40 hours per week.
