About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Professional to join our team at Cora Breakfast and Lunch Kelowna. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and ensure that all food is handled and presented in a safe and appealing manner.
  • Team Collaboration: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they are clean and well-maintained, and take responsibility for cleaning kitchen and work areas.
  • Quality Control: Work with our culinary team to ensure that all food meets our high standards of quality and presentation.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with a focus on attention to detail and physical demands.
