Job Summary

As a Human Resource Staffing Coordinator at Home Depot of Canada Inc., you will play a vital role in supporting the HR function in the store. This includes staffing, associate training, associate development, and WSIB/WCB administration and reporting, scheduling, and administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staffing and Scheduling: Review sales and hours forecasts with the Store Manager and HR Manager to plan and input weekly schedules, ensuring associate availabilities meet minimum requirements.
  • Associate Development: Coordinate and maintain training calendars, track training completed, and review the schedule with the Store Manager for final sign-off.
  • HR Administrative Support: Source candidates using KENEXA, pre-screen internal and external candidates, and follow process compliance for submission of background checks.
  • WSIB/WCB Administration: Complete WSIB/WCB administration and reporting, and create entries in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) for employee maintenance, actions, and AIMs entry.
  • Administrative Functions: File and distribute paperwork, and coordinate the on-boarding of new associates.
Requirements
  • Education: Post-secondary HR education (considered an asset)
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year leadership experience (considered an asset)
  • Skills: Exceptional customer service skills, ability to work a flexible schedule, and knowledge of Home Depot policies and procedures.
