Job Summary:

The Human Resource Staffing Coordinator will support the HR function in the store by providing administrative assistance with staffing, associate training, and WSIB/WCB administration. This role will also be responsible for scheduling, associate development, and other HR-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review sales and hours forecasts with the Store Manager and HR Manager to plan and input weekly schedules.
  • Ensure associate availabilities meet minimum requirements and partner with Department Supervisors to address any gaps.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of quarterly associate performance reviews and maintain training calendars.
  • Track training completed on a monthly basis and review schedules with the Store Manager for final sign-off.
  • Sourcing candidates using KENEXA and pre-screening internal and external candidates for hourly positions.
  • Support HRM with the writing and compiling of offer packages and coordinating associate service awards.
  • Assist store leadership with supporting the Open Door policy and completing WSIB/WCB administration and reporting.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as filing and distributing paperwork and creating entries in the HRIS system.
  • Coordinate the on-boarding of new associates and participate in the Orientation program.

Requirements:

  • Minimum time in position and performance management code requirements of V2 (or P3 in previous system).
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to Home Depot policies and procedures.
  • Post-secondary HR education (considered an asset).
  • 1 year leadership experience (considered an asset).
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
