ArcelorMittal Mines and Infrastructure Canada is seeking a Director of Digital Platforms and Architecture to lead the development and implementation of digital platforms and architecture. This role will be responsible for providing technical leadership and guidance to IT and OT teams.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Build, lead, manage, and coach the Digital Platforms and Architecture team.
  • Participate in the recruitment process for team members and key positions.
  • Manage team performance and develop high-potential team members.
  • Implement development plans and work to create an inclusive and engaging work environment.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain architecture, design, and engineering concepts for all AMMC domains.
  • Influence business sites and other manufacturing sites to use AMMC's architecture, design, and engineering models. Make AMMC a leader in architecture.
  • Build the digital roadmap (exploiting and coordinating all domains) by providing a view of best practices to achieve the goal.
  • Coordinate with internal or external experts as needed.
  • Manage the identification of new technologies, manage the pipeline of innovation ideas, and create value from technological solutions.
  • Work within the company's technology group standards, lead the team to respect and maintain compliance.
  • Play a leadership role representing ArcelorMittal Mines Canada in various technological projects (technology summits, mining industry, etc.).
  • Act as an expert, informing and influencing expert committee decisions to reflect the reality of AMMC and approve new standards.
  • Take advantage of your network to build an architecture ecosystem that creates value for AMMC.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering. A master's degree in a relevant field is an asset.
  • 15 years of experience in IT, 10 years of experience in architecture, and 5 years of experience in leading technology teams.
  • Experience working in a hybrid infrastructure (Cloud and on-site).
  • Experience working in the heavy industry in a TI and OT environment.
  • TOGAF, SAFe Agile, Cloud, ITIL, or any other relevant architecture certification is an asset.
  • Strong understanding of current digital technologies, including AI, IoT, data science, and cloud computing.
  • Experience in designing and deploying cloud-native enterprise applications in public, private, and hybrid cloud models (AWS, Azure, Google).
  • Experience working in a product management environment.
  • Deep understanding of different architecture models, such as platform, microservices, and event-driven.
  • Ability to lead a team and intervene as needed.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to establish priorities in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities.

  • A 40-hour workweek, Monday to Friday.
