We are currently seeking an experienced Corporate Legal Contract Negotiator to join our team in a Permanent position at Emera Inc.

This role is responsible for negotiating, drafting, interpreting, and reviewing contracts and legal agreements, including construction arrangements, supply of goods and services, and technology agreements. You will be part of our Corporate Legal team, reporting to the Director Legal.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A Law Degree obtained by a recognized university.
  • A minimum of 5 years related experience in preparing and negotiating commercial agreements.
  • Extensive experience working for a regulated entity.
  • Must be a member of good standing of a provincial law society and be eligible for admission to the Nova Scotia Barrister's Society.

You will have the ability to communicate effectively and provide advice to business leaders engaged in third-party negotiations. You must possess exceptional organizational skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have excellent interpersonal skills.

The salary range for this position is estimated to be between $120,000 to $180,000 per year, based on location and industry standards.
