The Opportunity

This position is field-based in Ontario, Canada, in the Molecular division. Abbott Molecular is a leader in molecular diagnostics and the analysis of DNA, RNA, and proteins at the molecular level.

The Account Executive is a strategic sales professional skilled at driving exponential growth with new business and serving as the primary customer contact.

They focus on menu expansion to improve economic profitability and increase customer loyalty through contract renewal.

The goal is to achieve product-specific sales targets by selling the product line to all molecular laboratories, including hospital-based labs, through high-level relationships, networking across the customer organization, and having an in-depth understanding of the customer's molecular and financial objectives.

Your Responsibilities

Plan, schedule, and execute multi-level sales calls to prospects and current customers for Molecular products, working across multiple stakeholders, and expediting complex decisions to quick wins.

Travel to customer sites 50-75% in the assigned territory and other locations in the US to support business needs.

Develop trust and partnership with customers by demonstrating a deep understanding of short-term and long-term needs and proposing win-win solutions.

Develop and implement best practices, identify new customer insights to drive business, and drive new and continued account development according to the strategic plan.

Leverage cross-functional teams and resources successfully in a team environment.

What You'll Need

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree.
  • 5-8 years of sales experience in the molecular, diagnostics, core laboratory, point-of-care, medical device, capital equipment, or demonstrated success in the current industry through advancement; or equivalent experience.
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office & CRM skills).
  • A valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to travel 50-75% in the assigned territory and other locations in the US to support business needs.
  • Commitment to customers and service-minded approach.
  • Effective oral and written communication to accomplish business goals and foster building customer rapport and relationships.
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the territory, including overnights up to 50% of the time.
  • Understanding of hospital account management and proven ability to establish strong customer relationships.

Salary Range:$120,000 - $180,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.

Bonus:Up to 20% annual bonus potential, based on performance.
