We are seeking a highly skilled Project Planning Manager to join our dynamic team at Woodfibre Management Ltd.
**Company Overview**
Woodfibre Management Ltd. is a privately held Canadian company based in Vancouver and a subsidiary of Pacific Energy Corporation Limited. Our company is involved in the construction and operation of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility on the previous Woodfibre pulp mill site, located approximately 7 km west-southwest of Squamish, British Columbia.
**Salary:** $140,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and Maintain Comprehensive Project Schedules: Create and update project schedules, including tasks, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with the company's overall project timeline and objectives.
- Collaborate with EPC Contractors: Work closely with EPC contractors to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, and identify necessary resources for task completion.
- Track Project Progress: Monitor project progress, track deviations from the schedule, and update project plans to reflect any changes in scope, timeline, or resources.
- Prepare Status Reports: Prepare and present regular status reports to company and internal stakeholders, ensuring clear and timely communication.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and communicate risk management plans to company and EPC contractors.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in project management, engineering, business administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in project planning, scheduling, and management, involving EPC contractors, with heavy budgeting, cost forecasting, change management, cost estimating, scheduling, and risk management experience.
- Professional Certifications: PMP or other relevant project management certification is a plus.
The position is based in Squamish, BC (Project Site), with an initial stay period at the EPC contractor's Office in Houston, and a visit to the Company's Vancouver Office as required.
