**About the Role**:
Working in collaboration with the Operations Manager and Project Development Manager and reporting to the Vice-President, the **_Project Manager_** will oversee and manage new and existing modular construction and workforce accommodation related projects that range from $1M - $15M throughout Western Canada. A successful Project Manager at Tasu is an effective leader, skilled negotiator and works in partnership with existing team members, clients, field representatives, consultants and contractors.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Leads project initiation after the estimation and pre-construction phase is complete.
- Develops project charters and plans, assembles project teams, communicates project purpose, objectives and desired outcomes.
- Responsible for project execution following approved project plans - ensuring project team meets timelines, scope, budget, risk mitigation and quality/performance standards,
- Submits project deliverables that adhere to project specifications and quality standards.
- Bid estimation, preparation of material take-offs, procurement and organization of documentation.
- Scope incoming opportunities and summarize key project information for internal review.
- Solicit costing and schedule information from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Prepares and delivers status reports by gathering, analyzing and summarizing relevant information.
- Manages contractual components of projects, including facilitation of change requests and contract agreements, ensuring all parties are informed of any impacts on schedule and budget.
- Coordinates with the customer to obtain their acceptance of project deliverables.
- Manages customer satisfaction within project transition period.
- Conducts post project evaluation and identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES**
- As part of, or in addition to 5+ years of progressive career experience, a minimum of 3 years’ in a Project Management capacity in a relevant industry (engineering, construction, etc.) is required.
- PMP designation is not required, but possession of, or working towards is an asset.
- Experience in modular and remote construction and/or industrial workforce accommodation is an asset.
- Advanced understanding of CCDC contracts and the detailed conditions relating to construction contracts is preferred.
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel occasionally (up to 20%) is required. Travel expenses are reimbursed.
- Possesses and regularly applies their knowledge of WCB, construction safety policies, and other related construction regulations.
- Demonstrated success in their ability to organize and administer construction related expenses, supply and material costs, timesheets, labour cost forecasting, and equipment costs within overall management of a project.
- A proficient user of O365 and the Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve, organize, plan, and manage time.
- Confident, goal-oriented team player with the ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Positive attitude with the ability to connect and communicate with a diverse range of client contacts.
- Excellent organizational, planning, problem solving, decision making and time management skills.
**WORKING AT TASU**
- Full time 40-hour work week, Monday - Friday
- This role is based at Tasu's office in Squamish BC. Occasional travel to worksites within BC is required (up to 20% with travel expenses reimbursed).
- The total compensation is formed by a combination of base salary and profit sharing (available after successful completion of the vesting period).
- The starting base salary will be commensurate with the skill and experience level of the successful incumbent and will start in the range from $78-109k/year.
- 3 weeks annual paid vacation time to start.
