We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at The Shoe Co. as part of Designer Brands.
Job Summary:
The Assistant Manager will be responsible for leading the store environment, fostering inclusivity and diverse customer connections, and driving sales and profitability targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assumes leadership role with accountability for maximizing store business results by consistently creating exceptional customer experiences.
- Facilitates achievement of business results by role modeling a shopping experience that encourages uniquely responsive customer service, compelling merchandise presentation, and operational integrity that will encourage positive customer connections and loyalty.
- Lead an operationally sound business by balancing company policies, procedures, shrink/loss prevention, payroll, reporting, and scheduling.
- Recruit, manage, develop, and train top talent who have a love of shoes.
- Achieves company objectives and enhance The Shoe Co. brand image by modeling our values of Passion, Accountability, Collaboration, and Authenticity/humility.
- Develops and implements agile business plans to achieve results.
- Fosters teamwork, collaboration, and change advocacy within the store and district.
- Maintain effective, open lines of communication with the Store Manager.
Requirements:
- Proven success in the achievement of sales and profitability targets.
- Proficiency in computer use, including MS Word or other word processing program and Excel or other spreadsheet programs.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while also being committed to creating a compelling customer experience.
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in progressive retail supervisory role.
- Ability to work, days, closing shifts, and weekends.

Compensation:
