At Empire Diner, we are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Diner Service Associate to join our team. This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week.

Job Summary:

We are looking for an individual with excellent communication skills who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment. As a Diner Service Associate, you will be responsible for taking customers' orders, stocking refrigerators, sanitizing dishes, and performing cleaning tasks.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Take orders from customers in a friendly and efficient manner, ensuring their satisfaction with every interaction.
  • Inventory Management: Stock refrigerators, salad bars, and other storage areas with food and supplies, maintaining accurate records of quantities used.
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Sanitize and wash dishes, utensils, and equipment by hand, clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, appliances, and equipment, and sweep, mop, and polish floors.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, and receive, unpack, and store supplies.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

  • This role requires working in a fast-paced environment and meeting deadlines under pressure.
  • It is physically demanding, requiring the ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods.

Salary: $35,000 - $45,000 per annum (based on experience), depending on location.
