At Empire Diner, we are seeking a skilled Food Service Associate to join our team. As a Food Service Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Take orders from customers and ensure timely delivery of food and beverages.
  • Stock refrigerators and salad bars to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Portion and wrap foods to ensure presentation and quality meet our high standards.
  • Package take-out food for customers in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Keep records of food quantities used to maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, including dishwashers, to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items to meet customer demands.
  • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas to maintain a well-organized kitchen environment.
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe working environment.Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
    • Work in a fast-paced environment with high levels of physical activity.
    • Be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Work a 40-hour week with occasional overtime as required.
    • Be able to communicate effectively in English.
