Community Housing Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Services Supervisor to join our team at Toronto Seniors Housing Corporation. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of our properties, providing a safe and comfortable living environment for our seniors.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the delivery of maintenance services, including scheduling and coordinating maintenance activities, ensuring that all maintenance work is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Supervise and manage a team of maintenance staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties effectively.
- Develop and implement maintenance plans, including preventative maintenance, to ensure the long-term integrity of our properties.
- Work closely with our operations team to ensure that all maintenance activities are aligned with our business objectives and priorities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including health and safety, environmental, and accessibility requirements.
- Manage budgets, oversee maintenance contracts, and ensure that all expenditures are in line with our financial policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in a relevant field, such as facilities management, maintenance, or a related discipline.
- 5-7 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a maintenance or facilities management position.
- Proven track record of success in managing maintenance teams and ensuring the delivery of high-quality maintenance services.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Certified Property / Facility Management designation preferred.
