This job offers the opportunity to work from home as part of a hybrid work arrangement. This arrangement will allow you to work some days at a TCHC work location and the rest of the time from home. The amount of time required to work at a TCHC work location is flexible, while considering operational and service delivery requirements

We are currently looking for a Communications Consultant to serve on our Employee Communications team. In this role, you will report to the Manager, Employee Communications, and provide communications services to support Toronto Community Housing’s strategic communications objectives, business priorities, and reinforce TCHC’s tenant-focused culture.

**What you’ll do**
- Provide communications planning, writing/editing, web content management, event management and counsel for internal communication strategies and priorities, including initiatives focused on organizational change, customer service and two-way communications and engagement
- Develop content strategies for key corporate communications vehicles, including opportunities for two-way communications. This may include auditing existing materials, and scheduling updates and changes
- Provide communications planning for corporate and internal communications initiatives as assigned by the Manager Communications
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of communications projects, vehicles, tactics and practices
- Represent Toronto Community Housing interests with community agencies and private sector partners in planning and executing joint corporate communications strategies
- Support and work with managers and staff throughout the corporation to build and sustain positive relationships with stakeholders and partners
- Write, edit, design and develop a range of print and digital communications products, support tools and templates that promote effective communications of Toronto Community Housing’s mission, vision, values, strategic priorities and brand
- Plan and produce content (such as written stories, employee interviews and video content) for the internal employee newsletter at Toronto Community Housing
- Recommend and develop improvements to Toronto Community Housing’s intranet that promote accessible and effective communications and service excellence
- Provide communications counsel, writing and editorial services and strategic advice to assist other business units with preparing presentations, talking points, speaking notes and handouts for internal use, to ensure maximum clarity, effectiveness and consistency with corporate objectives and brand identity
- Work with Strategic Communications Unit colleagues and other key business units to support managers and staff throughout the organization in delivering timely and effective communication to tenants and stakeholders about Toronto Community Housing’s programs and services
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of various communications programs, vehicles, tactics and practices aimed at employees
- Help to plan, support and deliver primarily staff-focused events (e.g., Service Achievement Awards, town halls) that reflect, reinforce and communicate Toronto Community Housing’s strategic priorities
