Job DescriptionPortfolio EngagementIn this role, you will join a dedicated team supporting organizations in Energy & Materials, Health & Resilience, and Work & Prosperity. You will help amplify their impact by connecting them with key resources like technology and talent.
- Foster positive relationships with portfolio leadership, technology leads, and venture team members to drive shared goals.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the venture industry, sector, region, and overall operating context to provide strategic support.
- Facilitate communications with portfolio ventures to ensure regular milestone check-ins and scope out engagement opportunities.
- Act as a strategic matchmaker, connecting portfolio ventures with suitable support services to maximize value for both the venture and NearSource.
- Document recommendations and outcomes in partnership success plans, leveraging our in-kind support.
You will support a portfolio-focused approach by updating and maintaining partnership resources across internal systems, collecting feedback from completed engagements, and identifying insights and trends to share with our team and broader community.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you should have prior experience in supporting entrepreneurs, social impact innovators, ventures, or nonprofits, with a passion for sustainability and social impact topics.
- Prior experience in supporting entrepreneurs, social impact innovators, ventures, or nonprofits.
- Proficiency in data management tools, such as Fluxx, Airtable, HubSpot, and Microsoft Excel.
- A service-oriented mindset, committed to responsiveness and supporting portfolio needs to achieve desired outcomes.
- A proactive, eager team player with a continuous learning and improvement outlook.
