Job Title: Case Manager

We are seeking a skilled Case Manager to join our team at the Canadian Red Cross. As a Case Manager, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals impacted by disruptive events through case management.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide confidential and empathetic support to individuals in a one-on-one setting, listening to their experiences and needs.
  • Assess immediate, medium, and long-term needs and identify relevant services to support individuals.
  • Develop and implement recovery plans that address individual needs and promote overall recovery.
  • Collaborate with a team to establish a safe and secure working environment and identify emerging trends related to identified needs.
Requirements:
  • College degree in a related field and 1-3 years of experience in customer service, case management, disaster recovery, or a related field.
  • Knowledge or experience in customer service, disaster recovery, emergency management, community development, social work, or psychology is an asset.
  • Experience in emergency settings and understanding of Red Cross role in emergency response and recovery is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to changing situations.
  • Language requirements: must be able to read, write, and deliver services in English or French.
Working Conditions:
  • The majority of the work is performed in a clean and comfortable environment.
  • Potential for responding in disaster areas and difficult conditions.
  • Ability to respond during non-traditional hours and long hours of work in a demanding context.
