Job Description:

The Technical Support Specialist will be operatively attached to the Vehicle Technical Manager, coordinating and supporting the vehicle project team.

  • Coordinate with the Vehicle Technical Manager to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Support the development and implementation of product/process convergence strategies.
  • Organize and lead Connections/Fasteners meetings to ensure effective coordination and communication.
  • Develop and maintain the Connections/Fasteners dashboard to track progress and identify roadblocks.
  • Prepare and coordinate Change Management meetings to ensure smooth implementation of changes.
  • Support the Technical Manager in the development and implementation of quality convergence strategies.
  • Coordinate the vehicle rework process, ensuring timely and effective resolution of defects.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Manager to develop and implement manufacturing process fundamentals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
  • Minimum of 5 years of automotive industry experience at an OEM or large tier in Product development engineering.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Excellent written and presentation skills.
  • Advanced to expert skill level in using Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to interface with all levels of management.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Full Program Life-cycle Experience.
  • Launch experience a plus.
  • Manufacturing process fundamentals understanding.
  • Ability to quickly learn use of proprietary software.

Additional Information:

  • Support the Technical Manager with the vehicles program's complexity reduction plan.
  • Vehicle/Program BOM integrity and release status working with the various commodity areas within the vehicle team.
  • Support the Technical Manager with the ongoing Product/Process convergence needed.
